We all have different journeys that brought us to the place where we are in this point in time. On the golf course there is however one thing that binds our different journeys, techniques and goals - community.
All the way from Germany
"Platzreife im Golfclub Stellenbosch:
Die erste Kontaktaufnahme erfolgte problemlos. Bei unserem eintreffen war alles wie besprochen vorbereitet. Der Unterricht mit Erich war sehr ruhig, geduldig und professionell. Die vorgegebene Unterrichtszeit für echte Anfänger ist etwas kurz bemessen.
Im Vordergrund stand der Spaß am Golfspielen und für die Zukunft planen wir noch weiteren Unterricht mit Erich."

Oliver Bekker only has positive memories of Stellenbosch Golf Club
"I always enjoy practicing at my club's practice facility, which has improved tremendously since Erich has taken over it's management. His good coaching makes him so busy that we sometimes struggle to get enough time for practice in the world-class studio!" - Oliver Bekker, multiple Sunshine Tour winner playing out of Stellenbosch Golf Club.
"Thanks for today Erich. Going to learn to launch it high!" - David Frost, SA Open winner 1999 at Stellenbosch Golf Club and multiple PGA Tour and Champions Tour winner.
Consistency and confidence is the name of the game for visually impaired golfer Garrett Slattery
"To a large extent I have found successful golf to be more about minimizing the bad shots than it is about hitting more great shots – and that is what practice, and understanding one’s game, can achieve. It all comes down to knowing what one is capable of, and having the confidence to execute the swing to do that under pressure. What I have found most special about working with Erich (at the range or in blind golf events) is his calm and thoughtful approach – whether it be in analysing the flightscope data, making swing changes or in helping me select a shot, this calmness helps inspire confidence. Without making any radical changes to what I am doing, Erich has helped me understand my game and what to focus on to get the most out of my abilities – as consistently as possible. So while I am certainly not one of the best golfers around, Erich has helped me become one of the more consistent ones – which is really important to me when the pressure is on." - Garrett Slattery, no.1 ranked blind golfer in SA.
Club member Chris van Leij is keeping things on the straight and narrow
“My golf game has always been characterised by two things: enthusiasm and erratic shots. Needless to say, I had a very high handicap (32 over par, when on form). A golf partner of mine suggested that I should take some lessons with Erich and - having seen how my golf partner had improved - I decided to take the plunge. After a couple of lessons my game improved dramatically. My golf partners are quite amazed about my rapid progress and it makes playing golf so much more enjoyable. Some very simple tips made a world of difference to me and I have brought down my handicap to around 26 over par already. And my scores are still going down steadily.
One of Erich’s strengths is that he does not try to change everything at once and builds up your technique step by step rather than confuse you with too much detail. He also analyses quite quickly what it is that needs to be changed first. I can sincerely recommend working with him." Chris van der Leij, Stellenbosch Golf Club member.
